IPS Questions Set

In the year 1948, one year after the Indian independence, IPS replaced the imperial police. Then, the Union Public Service Commission was given the duty of conducting the Civil Service Examination for recruiting the IPS officers. This examination is conducted in three stages, being the preliminary examination, the main examination and the interview.

Only the candidates, who successfully get through the preliminary examination, will be called for the main examination. The preliminary examination has two papers. The first paper is the general studies paper and the second paper is the optional paper. The optional paper includes subjects like public administration, anthropology, sociology, geography, psychology, English, etc….

Generally, getting through the Civil Service Examinations like IPS is regarded as tough and the candidates can get through these examinations by mere practice. The candidates can practice with the help of previous year question papers and sample papers, which will make the process of preparation easier.
